2. Liberty Bridge at Falls Park:
What was once an ugly overpass and a forgotten waterway is now an award-winning park with a landmark footbridge, spanning the now-beautiful Reedy River and surrounding Falls Park. Spanning the Reedy River in Greenville, this structure overlooks the local waterfall and the gardens at Falls Park. Any beautiful day draws legions of happy pedestrians to the lushly landscaped greenbelt beneath Liberty Bridge, for dog-walking, picnicking, Shakespeare in the park, jogging, or a romantic moment on a swing with a view of it all.
3. Outdoor Recreation
When your backyard is made up of lakes, rivers, waterfalls and the Blue Ridge Mountains, you tend to spend a lot of time outdoors. 4. Flour Field at The West End
A mini replica of Boston’s Fenway Park, the host field of the Greenville Drive (Class A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox) features a 30-foot-high “Green Monster,” seats for more than 5,000 fans, and a hand-operated score-board. The farthest seat is only 13 rows away from the field!
5. BMW Performance Center
Experience sliding, cornering, breaking, and speed with Professional Instructors on our challenging course. Schools: Car Control, M Schools, Teen and Corporate Events. The $12.5 million, 64,000 square-foot BMW Performance Driving School is a state-of-the-art conference center; customer delivery center; and service, paint and body facility. It also offers unparalleled driver training courses and aggressive off-road lessons. The physical layout of the Performance Driving course has been designed to provide BMW with various configurations to simulate real-world driving conditions: • The exterior radius is .9 miles in length • The overall paved area is 1.7 miles, varying in width from 24 to 48 feet • A 300-foot trowelled concrete skid pad demonstrates BMW systems • Leading into the skid pad is a unique accident-avoidance area, comprised of five water walls activated by an instructor in the control tower • The course is comprised of both decreasing and increasing radius turns, elevation changes and straight ways.
6. Falls Park On The Reedy
A tribute to the Reedy River, which nourished Greenville’s beginnings in 1770, the park is now an oasis in the heart of downtown with scenic overlooks, nature trails, pond, landscaped gardens, waterfalls, and a pedestrian suspension bridge.
7. Greenville Swamp Rabbits Hockey
Experience Greenville Swamp Rabbits Hockey at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in downtown Greenville. The Greenville Swamp Rabbits Hockey play in the South Division of the Eastern Conference of the ECHL, the premier AA hockey league.
